Integrated Flight Training

An Integrated Training Programme is carried out with one training provider from start to finish. Integrated programmes usually take between 12 and 15 months to complete.

Upon graduation from an Integrated Training Programme a student will have:

  • A Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating
  • Passes in all ATPL theoretical examinations
  • Approximately 170 hours total flight time of which as many as 50 hours will have been done in a simulator.

Advantages:

  • Integrated training programmes are highly structured and time-efficient. They can be completed in a shorter time than a more ‘ad-hoc’ Modular approach

Disadvantages:

  • Integrated programmes tend to have a comparatively high cost.
  • The programme is completed with a relatively low number of flying hours.

The above represents all the requirements of an ATPL (frozen). A graduate from this programme would be in a position to seek employment within the industry and after logging the appropriate flight time and type rating would be able to apply for the issue of a full or unfrozen ATPL.
